The Cape

I have finished my cape and it has turned out great. After 30 years of not sewing I think I recovered pretty well.

What a shock the price of patterns turned out to be. I found a Burda and paid $15.00 for the thing. How did patterns become so expensive and why? They are just paper as they have always been. Thank goodness Joanne's has a brand of pattern on sell all the time.

I am going to take paper and pen and design the quilt top for Khole. I have until the 13 of March to get it done. The material has shipped and I can't wait to put it all together. I don't want to make any crazy mistakes since my material is limited, thus the pattern. I bought a DVD from Quilting Arts I need to watch also. I will need all the help I can muster. I have worked with paper for so many years that using fabric is almost scary.

I am going to try to turn my old sewing machine into a free sewing charmer. I heard someplace that I can use an old credit card to cover my feed dogs and it should work. I must give it a try.

A picture of my other ggrandson. Andy, is a chubby little guy with a big bright smile and always makes me feel better after looking at his picture. What a charmer he is.
